The Flaming Lips: The Fearless Freaks
Submitted by jack on November 19, 2006 - 8:58pm.Vivid documentary of the crappy 80's punk/garage band that is now the most enjoyable band in the 21st century (so far.) Highly recommended for all creatives who need to just keep at it......
The Dreamers
Submitted by jack on November 19, 2006 - 8:55pm.Another arty adventure-into-the-world-of-beatiful-incestuous-freaks movie. But here we have Eva Green, the new smart beauty on the scene.... look out Scarlet. She's so gorgeous it hurts, and she's full frontal. read more »
The Muppet Movie

Submitted by jack on November 19, 2006 - 8:32pm.Excellent Aussie Western from Guy Pearce. The story/poetry/score by Nick Cave is where the true beauty lies. Some of the gore and shots to the head were a little unnecessary, but I'm re-sensitized these days so it might not bother you. read more »
Curious George
Submitted by jack on November 19, 2006 - 8:29pm.This decent and rarely annoying kiddie movie looks just like the book and is nicely drawn! As a bonus, I think I finally understand the mind of my 3-year-old... leaving me feeling like the apartment read more »
The Cincinatti Kid
Submitted by jack on November 19, 2006 - 8:27pm.Steve McQueen is great as usual in this poker flick that includes Ann Margaret. The cockfighting scene looks frighteningly authentic. Some of the winning hands are equally scary, but not quite as authentic. read more »
Gigantic - A Tale of Two Johns
Submitted by jack on November 19, 2006 - 8:24pm.This is a documentary about the band They Might Be Giants. Our kids really like these guys. Here, they finally get to see John and John (w/ their band of Dans) play some songs but mostly this is a collection of interviews. read more »
